Tonight ballet’s crème de la crème, Ballet Preljocaj is back at the Orpheum Theatre for And then, one thousand years of peace, an assiduous but not irrational reading of the Apocalypse. One should thus refrain from looking for images or clichés that illustrate, directly or referentially, Saint John’s famous text.
Created in 2010 through a partnership with the Bolshoi Theatre, And then, one thousand years of peace envisions of the Book of Revelations through an interpretation by choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, DJ Laurent Garnier and Costume Designer Igor Charpurin.
Tonight beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
